He was a master plumber and the owner of DiMascolo Plumbing Co., Providence from 1920 until his retirement in 1972.
Born in Itri, Italy, a son of the late Gaetano and Maria Civita (Cardi) DiMascolo, he came to this country at an early age and settled in Providence. He moved to Johnston five years ago.
A World War I Army veteran, he had joined the Army at the age of 17 and served four years.
He leaves three daughters, Agnes Macari of Cranston, Marie Duke of North Miami, Fla., and Barbara D'Amico of Johnston; a son, Ralph E. DiMascolo of Johnston; a sister, Rosalia Buonanno of Cranston; 9 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
The funeral, with military honors, will be held tomorrow at 9 a.m. from the Nardolillo Funeral Home, 1278 Park Ave., Cranston, with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Bartholomew's Church, Laurel Hill Avenue, Providence, at 10. Burial will be in St. Francis Cemetery, Pawtucket.
