COMMERCE – Juandeen d’Miller, 86, of Commerce died Wednesday. Funeral services are at 10 a.m. Friday at Pemberton Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Wesley McCasland officiating. Burial is in Forest Park Cemetery, Greenville.

The daughter of John W. Damron and Lorene Buie, she was born May 28, 1913 in Quinlan. She graduated from Quinlan High School in 1929. She attended the University of Colorado and received her bachelor degree in education from East Texas State University, Commerce in 1933.

On Aug. 20, 1937 she married J.P. “Jake” Miller in Quinlan and moved to Commerce.

Mrs. d’Miller taught elementary school and business English in the Dallas Independent School District. She was also employed by B. Altman Company in New York where she sold furs and modeled.

Mrs. d’Miller was a member of the First United Methodist Church, the Doug Rawlins Sunday School Class, Retired Teachers Association and a charter member of the Afflatus Club.

Her husband survives.

She was preceded in death by an infant son, James Cecil Miller; a sister, Alarine d’Talbert in May 1999; and an uncle.

Pallbearers are Mike Rainbolt, Jake Rainbolt, David Moody, Clifton Haddock, Marion Ainsworth, Richard Hill and Bruce Hineman. Honorary pallbearers are James Bradford, Ben Laws Jr., Norman Messick, Linda Chaney, Brenda Walker, Bob Young and Ted Paulk.

Visitation is from 6 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
