OBITUARY:
Our dear mother, Marlene Bailey, has returned to the loving arms of our Savior and the welcoming fold of her family. She was 82 years old. Marlene was born in South Gate, CA on November 20, 1933 to P.C. and Lydia Hardy.

She attended Whittier High School where she met and fell instantly in love with the football star of the Cardinals, Kenny Bailey. They were married on November 22, 1950 and later sealed for all eternity in the Mesa, AZ temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Marlene and Ken raised 5 children in Southern California then moved to the Tri Cities in 1994. They lived in Kennewick for nearly 20 years, then moved to Pasco 5 years ago.

Marlene loved music, movies and theater. She loved to sing. As a teen, she loved horseback riding and piano. After marriage, she enjoyed being a homemaker and mother. She served in many capacities at church and held several jobs over the years. Her favorite was as a teacher of children with special needs.

After years of ill health, Marlene passed away peacefully in her sleep, on Saturday, February 20, 2016.

She is survived by her husband Kenneth; her children: Vicki (Robison), Steven, Jill (Hargan), Marty, and Lori (Veres), 21 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Phil, and her sisters AnaLee and Adele.

Services will be held at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints located at 2004 Road 24 in Pasco on Saturday, February 27th. She will be laid to rest at Columbia Memorial Gardens.
