A stone dedicated to wife bears on its reverse side mention of Michael Erickson, a Revolutionary Soldier, husband of Ann, but who died at Monmouth, NJ, Nov. 2, 1815, age 60 years. Mrs. Hazel B. Simpson, historian of Sewell, NJ, reports that Mr. Erickson was buried in the Old Tenment Cemetery, near Freehold, NJ, and also has a stone there.
For many years members of the Erickson family were prominent in Perry, and several are buried in Hope Cemetery.
