The funeral will be at noon Saturday, July 14, at Lane Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home in Eugene for LaWanda N. Johnson of Sheridan, formerly of Eugene. She died July 7 of a heart attack at age 76. Burial will be in Lane Memorial Gardens following the service. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
She was born Jan. 29, 1931, in Eugene to Dale and Anna Davis Nixon. She married George "Allen" Johnson on April 3, 1950, in San Diego.
She graduated from Eugene High School and worked as an offset technician for a school district.
Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Janice Odermann of Vancouver, Wash., and Terri White of Eugene; a son, Charlie of Gold Beach; a brother, Alan Nixon of Portland; eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Remembrances to the American Heart Association or the Diabetes Association.
