Jennie Meeks, 72, Dies Monday Eve
Mrs. Jennie Eliza Meeks, 72, residing at 1342 South C street, died at 7:30 o'clock Monday evening at the Mercy hospital of complications. Mrs. Meeks had been in failing health for the past three years.
She was born January 8, 1872, and was married to Anderson Meeks in the year 1917. He preceded her in death in December, 1943.
Survivors are three step-children - Mrs. Roy Chance of Elwood, Mrs. Fred Lewis of Mansfield, and Merrill Meeks of Fort Wayne; three brothers - Harry Fogle of Hartsville, William Fogle of Hope, and Grant Fogle of Theyer, Kansas.
The body was removed to the Copher & Fesler home where it will remain. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday afternoon from the Copher & Fesler Funeral Home with the Rev. J. J. Duncan pastor of the Nazarene church, in charge, and burial will follow in the City cemetery.
