David Finman, 95 of West Hartford died Tuesday, September 5, 2006. Born in Hartford, he was the son of the late Henry and Dora Finman. He was a member of the Agudas Achim Synagogue for over 60 years. In the early 1930s he and his father opened the first Shoe Repair Shop on Main St, next to the Travelers Insurance Co. For 40 years he was "Mr. ALA", the top salesman for the Automobile Legal Association. He was then employed by Jason Soda Systems until retirement at age 85. He was predeceased by his brothers Benjamin, Morris, and Edward Finman.
