Gus Pate, 78, Broken Bow, died at 9:50 p.m. Wednesday at McCurtain Memorial hospital. Born in Arkansas January 20,
1880, he had resided at Broken Bow 60 years, coming from Wilburton. He was a retired employee of the Dierks company and a member of the Baptist church.He is survived by his widow, five sons, J. C. and Ilo of Junction City, Ore.; Speck and J. W.
of Broken Bow, and DeWitt, of Loyalton, Calif.; three daughters,
Mrs. Willis King, Oklahoma City; Mrs. Bill Nicholson, Portland, Ore.,and Mrs. Bill Holt, Broken Bow; one brother, Ben Pate, Junction City, Ore., 20 grandchildren, and eight great grandchildren.
Funeral services were set for 2 p.m. Saturday at Broken Bow Baptist church with Rev. Miles Wesner and Rev. V. M. Piland officiating.Arrangements and burial in Broken Bow cemetery are under direction of Coffey funeral home.

Agustus Pate death was due to a blood clot in his leg, his leg had to be amputated and this caused him to get gan green which took his life.

Augusta (Guss) Pate was born Jan. 20 1880 in Arkansas to James C and Susan M Choate Pate.
