Graveside services for Don Meyer, 48, Lawrence, will be at 3 p.m. Saturday in Oak Hill Cemetery in Lawrence with a celebration of life to follow at the family home.
Mr. Meyer died Tuesday, July 11, 2006, at Lawrence Memorial Hospital after a battle with brain cancer.
He was born Aug. 23, 1957, in Chicago, the son of Donald A. and Barbara Meyer. He graduated from St. Cloud State University in Minnesota in 1979.
Mr. Meyer was a former cubmaster of Pack 3059, a scoutmaster of Troop 55 and an adviser of Explorer Post 2055.
He married Janney Davalos in Minnetonka, Minn. She survives, of the home.
Other survivors include his parents, Marietta, Ga.; a son, Chris, Lawrence; two daughters, Samantha and Katie Meyer, both of the home; a brother, Chris; Santa Fe, N.M.; and a sister, Beth Meyer, Santa Fe, N.M.
The family suggests memorials to the children's educational fund, 2904 W. 27th St., Lawrence 66046.
