A pregnant woman who was delivering newspapers in Raleigh for USA Today was found dead behind a gas station-convenience store, police and a family member said.
The death of Jennifer K. Nielsen, 22, was being investigated as a homicide, police said.
Police were exploring "all the possibilities" Thursday night as they sought clues in what they believe was the murder of an eight-months-pregnant mother of two while she was on her pre-dawn newspaper route in Raleigh.
Jennifer was lying dead behind the Ameriking Food Mart …the Ameriking store was usually her first stop each morning.
Nielsen moved to the area from Utah in August, with her husband.

Jennifer Kathleen Nielsen and
Ethen Asdyn Nielsen 1985 ~ 2007
Jenna and Ethen were taken from us June 14, 2007 in a senseless act of violence. Jenna was born March 6, 1985 in Glendale, CA. She was a beautiful child who grew into an amazing and wonderful woman. The room just lit up when Jenna came into it. People were drawn to her because she always had a smile on her face. She was a talented pianist, dancer and singer. She enjoyed puzzles and could perform some of the most difficult compositions effortlessly. She married Timothy James Nielsen Feb. 15, 2003 in Layton, Utah. Her world revolved around her family. She loved being a mother and could make the boys laugh so easily. It was wonderful to watch her play with them. Our family was looking forward to Ethen's birth in July. We will never get to know him or hold him in our arms. The world will be a darker place without the two of them in it. She is survived by her husband, Timothy; two sons: Schyler, 3; Kaiden, 11 months, of Fuquay-Varina, NC; mother, Lorann Blaine, St. George; father, Kevin Blaine and wife, Staci; brothers: Jason Kubota and Chris Blaine; sister, Sharlee Kubota, all of Holly Springs, NC; father and mother-in-law, Kim and Debbie Nielsen, Layton, Utah. The family would like to thank the community for their support and prayers at such a difficult time. Funeral services will be held Sat., June 23, 2007, 2 p.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road where friends may visit Fri., 6-8 p.m. and Sat., 1-1:45 p.m. Interment, Redwood Memorial Estates.PREGNANT MOTHER OF TWO FOUND MURDERED BEHIND A FOOD STORE IN CARY NORTH CAROLINA, WHILE PREGNANT WITH HER THIRD CHILD.
