Mary Janzen, a resident of Bethany Care Centre in Calgary, Alberta passed away peacefully on February 20, 2007 at the age of 73 years.
Mary was born in Coaldale, Alberta on September 5, 1933 to Aron and Anna Janzen, former owners of a mixed farm at Glenwood, Alberta. She had many happy memories of growing up on the farm. Later, Mary attended Bible School in Coaldale, where she made her decision to become a child of her Heavenly Father. Throughout her life, she had a great love for gospel music. She also greatly enjoyed the many visits with family and friends, and loved putting puzzles together. She also had a great sense of humor.
Mary will be lovingly remembered by her mother Anna Janzen of Calgary; her sisters: Anne Siebert of Abbotsford, B.C., Tina Janzen and Helen Janzen of Calgary, Elfreda (Cliff) Young of Fort St. John, B.C. and Agnes (Loren) Dyck of Pincher Creek; her brothers: Aron Janzen of Calgary, John (Marj) Janzen of Olds, Isaac Janzen of Edmonton, Abe (Elaine) Janzen and Herb (Kay) Janzen of Pincher Creek. She was predeceased by her father Aron Janzen (1980); brothers: David Janzen (2000) and Jacob Janzen (2002); brother in-law Dave Siebert (1988) and by her nephews Richard Janzen (1996) and Timothy Janzen (1993).
