He was preceded in death by his mother, Pearl Carter.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, Jan. 14, at 1 p.m. at Macedonia Baptist Church with Rev. J. C. Calhoun officiating. Interment will be in Highland Cemetery.
The body will lie in state after noon on Thursday, Jan. 13, at John P. Franklin Funeral Home, 1101 Dodds Avenue, 622-9995.
