Blessed Adam Sztark SJ born in Zbiersku and died on19 December 1942 under the hill near Pietralewickim Slonim - Polish priest Catholic , the Servant of God Roman Catholic Church , the first Polish Jesuit awarded the medal of the Righteous Among the Nations .

Arrested on December 18, 1942, he was shot the next day. According to witnesses, during the execution he shouted:

"Long live Christ the King, long live Poland.
Father, forgive them because they do not know what they are doing! (Luke 23:34) "

On March 8, 2001, the Israeli Institute Yad Vashem in Jerusalem awarded him the Righteous Among the Nations Medal.

He is one of the 122 Servants of God to whom the second beatification process of the second group of Polish martyrs from the Second World War began on September 17, 2003 .
