Born on July 16, 1925, in Mobeetie, Texas, Harry was the son of Roscoe and Bert Thomas. He graduated from Olton High School in 1943. He immediately joined the U.S. Navy and served in WWII Pacific theatre. A long time area farmer, Harry also owned and operated Thomas House Moving.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his only brother, Drummond Bartlett Thomas.
Survivors include his son, Harry Max Thomas of Olton, three daughters, Marge Bell of Hereford, Connie T. Maxwell of Olton and Alice Thomas of Lubbock. He was blessed with nine grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.
The family suggests memorials be made to the Runningwater Draw Care Center P.O. Box 409 Olton, Texas 79064.
