Mrs. Pentecost graduated with high honors from The Academy of Richmond County in 1959. Our friendship began when Etowah County began compiling a heritage book which was part of the "Alabama Heritage" books. As committee members, our friendship lasted over 20 years as we laughed, ate and talked for hours! Emily will certainly be missed. Her death was so swift, we didn't even say goodbye. Emily became ill on her routine shopping day in Attalla, Alabama and was hospitalized for a few days and then transferred to Shepard's Cove Hospice, Albertville, Marshall County, Alabama when she passed from earth to her Heavenly home.
