"Looking for William Dalton and Ann Tidwell Dalton living in Vandervoort, Polk County, AR in 1850 and 1860. There are two Dalton graves in the Cecil Cemetery that I believe are William and Anna. I would like proof of this. Does anyone have a clue or knowledge of these Daltons".

Actually, My best guess, I am certain that page 265 in the Book,
History of Randolph Co., Ark. Article by Lawrence Dalton, there is a Mistake. Lawrence lists William Dalton b. 1834 as Elijah and Mariah Elmira's brother. Actually, This William should be This William M Dalton b. 1797.
Guessing was written about 1946 by David Lawrence Dalton(grandpa had family photos)!

****Some have speculated that John may have raised William due to either William's Mother may have been like a sister of John's or William's parents may have died while William was young.
Current possibilities include:
1) William Dalton(1740-1811) & Elizabeth Sturman(1751-?) (Grayson, VA)
Shows son, William was born in 1889, so is not our William!
2) David Timothy Dalton JR(1752-1835) & Sarah Robinson(1759-1850)

Since I may have been the only one left with info after my grandpa died, and the most items flooded in my care, sad to say, I'm just not certain!
