Harry Harris, 83, of Texarkana, Ark., died Monday, July 16, 2018, at a Dallas hospital. Mr. Harris was born May 6, 1935, in Jefferson, Texas. She was retired from General Motors, Chicago, a member of Prince Hall Masonic Lodge and St. James Missionary Baptist Church and an Army veteran. Survivors include his wife, Lavenia Allen Harris of Texarkana; two sons and one daughter-in-law, Ross and Latunya Bradley of Matteson, Ill., and Travis Solomon of Texarkana; three daughters, Brenda Lewis of Texarkana, Cathy R. Wells of Kewanee, Ill., and Oscar Bolden of Texarkana; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives. Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday in St. James Missionary Church with the Rev. Larry Jordan officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Gardens Cemetery under direction of Lyles Funeral Home.
