Margelene Barkley
Mrs. Margelene Barkley, 86, a resident of Union City, died Wednesday at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Union City.
Funeral services are set for 1:00 p.m. Friday at White-Ranson Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Jim Calhoun officiating.
Burial will follow in Obion County Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends from 11:00 until the hour of service on Friday at the funeral home.
Mrs Barkley was born March 21, 1932 in Rutherford Tn., daughter of the late Lon T. and Willie Mae (White) Crouse. She married William Dee Barkley June 2, 1951 and he survives. She was retired from Revell Construction Co.Inc. and The Barkley Co. Having worked for over 30 years.
Mrs. Barkley was a member of First United Methodist Church Union City. She served as a Past President of the U. C. Jaycetts, and a Cub Scout den mother. Mrs. Barkley and her husband also loved Ballroom Dancing.
In addition to her husband she is survived by two sons and daughter-in-laws, Tony and Benita Barkley of Adamsville and Britt and Louann Barkley of Union City. A granddaughter Rebecca Claybrook. Four grandsons and the spouses of two Will Barkley, Matt Barkley, Brian and Kimberly Bakley and Lynn and Amy Barkley. Two great granddaughters Emiline and Isla Barkley, and one sister, Dorothy Harris of Dyer.
She was also preceded by two brothers Lon T. Crouse Jr. and Jack Crouse.
