She was born November 13, 1921 in Egan, La. to Artelus LeJune and Alzina Kibodeaux LeJune.
Mrs. Standley was a former resident of Louisiana, and had lived in the Anahuac area for the past 50 years. She was a homemaker, loving mother and grandmother, and enjoyed baking, sewing, and reading.
Mrs. Standley was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Howard F. Standley; son, Freddie Standley. and brothers, Elmer, Milford. Orie. and Wilbert LeJune.
She is survived by her daughter, and Loretta Standley-Sizemore husband Arnold of Anahuac; grandsons, Anthony Standley of Waco and Christopher Standley of Houston; brother, Lester LeJune and wife May of Mermonteaux, La,; sister, Dorothy Sonnler and husband Carrie of Jennings, La., and several other relatives, and friends.
Services were held October 2 at Oak Island Baptist Church with burial following at the Standley Cemetery in Double Bayou under the direction of Sterling Funeral Home in Anahuac
In lieu of usual floral remembrances the family requests that donations be made to the American Heart association at P.O. Box 20448; Houston, 77225, in Mrs. Standley's name.
