Emory Arnold, Jr., 80, of Jesup, died Saturday, April 7, 2018, in the Wayne Memorial Hospital after a short illness and under the care of Hospice of South Georgia. He worked many years for Florida Rock and Tank Lines out of Savannah. The U. S. Navy Veteran was a loving father and husband and was best known as a “gentleman of his word”. Emory enjoyed NASCAR racing and taking care of his lawn. He was predeceased by his parents, Emory Arnold, Sr. and Bertie Lee Arnold; a daughter, Reba Joe Brown; brother, Arnell Arnold and a step-daughter, Chris Loper.

Survivors are his wife of 24 years, Jackie Arnold of Jesup; daughter, Candice Lee Arnold of Lake Park; two sons, Kenneth Arnold, Sr.(Kelley Ann) of Beverly Hills, Fl. and Brian Arnold (Shannon)of Valdosta; a brother, Jerone Arnold of Lyle, Tn.; step-children, Phil (Judy) Echols of Jesup, Jerry (Jennifer) Echols of Midway, Dixie (Eddie) Walls of Reidsville, Carla (Paul) Ray of Jesup, Tracy Gordon; grandchildren Kenneth Emory Arnold Jr, Keith Austin Arnold, Allen Justice, Harley Fender, Emerie, Joi Harbaugh, Natasha Marie Griffin and Brianna Evelyn Rose Arnold and Greatgrandaughter Kynlee Mae Khamvilay; and several other family memebers.

Memorial services will be held 4 p.m. Thursday, April 12, 2018, at the Rinehart and Sons Chapel with Phil Echols speaking.

The family will receive friends prior to services.
