Delano was the son of the late John Richardson Ervin and Ada Hoskins Ervin.
In addition ot his parents he was preceded in death by his infant daughter Angel Ervin. Brother: Hubert Ervin, Paul Ervin, Argene Ervin, Raymond Ervin, J.B. Ervin, Larkin Ervin, Jerry Ervin and Jack Ervin. As well as a sister Sally Ervin Barnett.
He is survived by his three children. Daughters: Della Mae Ervin Martin of Corbin, KY., Deanna Caroline Ervin Dozier and her husband David of Lily, KY. Son Dallas Ervin and his his wife Rachel of Corbin, KY.
Five Grandchildren: T.J. Martin, Josh Martin, Emily Martin, Olivia Dozier and Oliver Dozier
One Great-Grandchild: Jaxson Martin.
Brothers: George Wayne Ervin (Lola ) of Columbia, TN, Johnny Ervin (Janet) of Oxford, MI.
Sister: Oppie Lee Clark (Hood) Brownstown, MI.

Delano served 4 years in the United States Navy. He was a proud member of the United Auto Workers and retired from General Motors Truck and Bus plant in Pontiac Michigan. He loved country and bluegrass music and his family.
