AUTO ACCIDENT - The accident happened around 4:30 a.m. at the 9300 block of New Lagrange Road, at Whipps Mill. Metro Police said the driver, Christoper Runge, 23, who lived at the 1800 block of Whipps Mill Road, didn't negotiate a turn correctly and ran off the road into landscaping rocks. Police said the rocks were as big as lawnmowers and sliced into the vehicle. Runge, who police said was found away from the vehicle, was taken to University Hospital where he was pronounced dead at 5:38 a.m.

He is survived by his mother, Sarah Hill (James); father, Mark Runge (Shanna); sister, Karmin Hill; brother, Jim Hill; and grandparents, Luanna Walls, Ruth and Virgil Hill, and Doris and Calvin Runge. His funeral will be at 10 a.m. on Saturday at Fern Creek Funeral Home, 5406 Bardstown Road. Visitation will be 3-8 p.m. on Friday. Private inurnment will be in Floydsburg Cemetery.
