Charlyn Stewart, 51, passed away on Friday, Dec. 30, 2016, at IU Health Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis. She was born in Kokomo on Oct. 16, 1965, to George Bookmiller and Linda (Tom) Bass.
Charlyn attended Hayworth High School and was married to Brent Stewart. Brent passed away on Feb. 13, 1991.
Charlyn was a longtime member of the West Side Baptist Church in Kokomo. She spent several years working as a devoted care giver. She was also an auto enthusiast and enjoyed gardening.
Along with her parents, Charlyn is survived by her son, Josh Stewart, and her granddaughter, Ara Stewart. She is also survived by three sisters, Carrie Needler, Debbie (Tony) Johnson and Kathy Longacre. Charlyn also has several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at Sunset Memory Garden Funeral Home on Thursday, Jan. 5, 2016, at 1 p.m. A public visitation will be held from 11 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home.
