R&B Singer, Songwriter. He is most noted for being the bass singer and an original member of the influential Motown vocal group, The Miracles. He was also an accomplished songwriter, co-writing many Miracles' songs, as well as songs for colleagues at the Motown label. He co-wrote several of The Miracles hits including "Ooo Baby Baby" (1965); it was a #4 hit on the Billboard Rhythm and Blues singles chart and #16 on the Billboard Hot 100, "The Tracks Of My Tears" (also 1965), #2 on Billboard and Rhythm and Blues chart. He also produced several hit songs for the Miracles, including "Choosey Beggar" (1965), charted on the Hot Rhythm and Blues singles chart. On March 20, 2009, he was honored along with the other Miracles when the group received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. In 2012, he was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a member of The Miracles. Moore died on his 79th birthday.
