Murel Green Cissell left us to be with the Lord on 11/4/2017, at age 90. Born in Chattahoochee, FL, she was raised by her parents, Jim and Beatrice Green, on a farm in Calhoun County.

Murel graduated from Altha High School and came to Jacksonville where she met her husband, Charles. They were husband and wife for 68 years, until his passing in 2015. Our mother raised 4 children while serving our father as a dedicated wife and office manager of the family business. She was an excellent cook, seamstress and gardener. She had a love of all things natural, especially songbirds. Murel possessed a great sense of humor and a beautiful smile that was even more radiant and more appreciated as she approached her final days.

She is survived by three of her seven siblings; her daughters, Linda Pickett (Bobby), Judy Jumber (Michael), and Charlotte Jensen (Stephen); son, Spencer Cissell (Mary Sydney); 11 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; and two great great grandchildren.

We already miss our mother, but we know she walks with the Lord in eternal peace.

Those who wish may donate to the Duval Audubon Society, www.duvalaudubon.org.

Funeral Services will take place at Shady Grove Methodist Church, Grand Ridge, FL with burial in Shady Grove Cemetery.
