Lucy E. Glasgow, 88, of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, died in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Lucy was born in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Morrison and Lucy Cunningham.

She attended Horace Mann Elementary School, Harding Junior High and graduated from Classen High School in 1937. Lucy graduated from Oklahoma State University (then Oklahoma A&M) at Stillwater in 1941 as OSU's first graduate in Family Relations and Child Development.

In December, 1942, she married Captain Jack M. Baker, also a Classen alumnus. Captain Baker graduated from the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, New York in 1942 and served in the U. S. Army Air Force during WWII as a B-17 bomber piIot until his death in 1944 when his plane was downed by enemy fire over France.

In 1953, Lucy opened Creative Playschool, one of the first programs for preschool children in Oklahoma City.

In 1959, Lucy married physician, Jack G. Glasgow of Oklahoma City.

Predeceased by her husband, Jack Glasgow; parents, Morrison and Lucy Cunningham of Oklahoma City; sister, Mary Andrews of Oklahoma City; and brother, Jacques Cunningham of Tulsa.

Survived by sons, John M. Baker of Oklahoma City, Jeff Glasgow of Bartlesville, and Mike Glasgow of Spring, Texas; daughter, Sue Glasgow of Oklahoma City; granddaughters, Mary Bullock of Oklahoma City, Stephanie Bieschke of Calgary, Alberta, Angela Forbes, Krista Swanda, and Monica Kimbler, all of Edmond, Ann Towers of Stillwater, Susan Waldie of Tulsa, and Michaela Glasgow of Spring, Texas; and 12 great-grandchildren.

Graveside services: Saturday, March 17, 2007 at Rose Hill Burial Park under the direction of WiIson Funeral Home of El Reno.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials to Russell-Murray Hospice, 221 S. Brickford, El Reno, OK 73036.
