Henry Shotwell inherited homes on site of Rahway Bank Building, on corner of Poplar & Main Street. North of PA Railroad. The old buildings were destroyed by fire in spring of 1844.
He took cert NY MM on 18 8m 1773 and returned to Rahway, cert Plainfield dated 3 6m 1778.
In 1821, he exchanged one half of his interest in Milton Mill for farm of Joseph King, at head of Derby Lane. Explained by Marmaduke Hunt; between farms of Thomas Laing & James Hunt in township of Woodbridge, about one to one and half miles from mill, dated 24 8m 1824.
