Possible expansion of Bio to consider, from various Quaker record. Margaret was the daughter of John Haydock and Jane Bowne born in Flushing, NY. John and Jane were married sometime in 1751. With John receiving a certificate to Rahway/Plainfield in Dec, 1765, it is estimated Jane died before that month. John re-married Mary Shotwell in Rahway in Apr. 1766. I think it probable that Margaret stayed w/ her gr. mother, Margaret L. Bowne, in Flushing until 5 Apr. 1769 when she was granted a cert. to Rahway, NJ. The young Margaret was named in the Oct. 1772 will of gr. mother Margaret Bowne as Margaret Shotwell (having wed John 28 June 1769). Thus Mary Shotwell Haydock was both Margaret's sister-in-law and step-mother.

Looking at this a little more closely: I believe Margaret (Haydock) Shotwell's,
Father: John Haydock
Mother: Jane Bowne, died in Flushing, NY
Stepmother: Mary (not Margaret) Shotwell, sister of husband John
Husband: John Shotwell
John Haydock probably died May 9, 1809, age 82, (from Rahway/Plainfield Meeting), buried in Bridgetown (probably Cumberland County, NJ).
Mary Shotwell (stepmother) may have died Dec. 3, 1813. This is from Rahway/Plainfield Meeting but has no reference to her age or whether she was a widow.
Also, there is an entry in the Rahway/Plainfield Meeting that Margaret Shotwell died July 2, 1815, age 63, bur. Rahway.
Thank you again David Jenkins for your information.
