Frances Jessie Mariano, 82, of Brookfield, beloved wife of Joseph Mariano, died peacefully on Tuesday, November 18th at Danbury Hospital. She was born in Bridgeport on May 3, 1932, daughter of the late Samuel and Jennie (Siracusa) Principi.
Mrs. Mariano was a lifelong member of the First Assembly of God Church. She was an active member of the church Prime Timers, the Women's Missionary Council, and was a past member of the church choir.
A devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, her life centered around her family. Her happiest times were with those she loved and traveling with her husband.
In addition to her cherished husband, Joseph of 64 years, she will be sadly missed by her five children Jean Mariano, Daniel Mariano, Janet Mariano, Joyce (Robert) Pichette and Joseph Mariano; by her nine treasured grandchildren Jennie (Kenny) Schell, Donna Lewis, Joseph (Sara) Mariano, Jessica (Travis) Thompson, John Mariano, Lindsey Guisto, Laura (Jack) Ormiston, Rob Ingram, Vincent Guisto; and by her 12 wonderful great grandchildren, Luke, Madison, Connor, Sawyer, Jack, Max, Grace, Stella, Dominick, Jovie, Brooklyn and Martin; also by many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her grandson, Chief Petty Officer First Class, Jason D. Lewis.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, November 22nd, at First Assembly of God Church, 133 Junction Rd., Brookfield at 10:00 am. Burial will follow in Center Cemetery in New Milford.
The family will receive friends at First Assembly of God Church on Friday, November 21st between the hours of 4:00 -7:00 pm.
The Brookfield Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
