Radio personality. An American psychologist and radio talk show host. She was one of the first to have her own radio show. Born Toni Gale Glickman. A graduate of Vassar College, she received her Ph. D from Syracuse University, she had been first featured as a guest on Bill Balance's "Feminine Forum" on Los Angeles radio in 1972. Her popularity led to her own call-in talk show in 1975 on radio station KABC. By 1981 her show was nationally syndicated and was carried on over 180 radio stations. She became known for her sometimes controversial advice regarding femininity and wrote a bestselling book "Being A Woman: Fulfilling Your Femininity and Finding Love". The character in the 1984 film "Choose Me", featuring Genevieve Bujold as a radio psychologist was based on Dr. Toni Grant.
