From contributor Jeffrey Bloomfield:

Jerome ("Jerry" or "Yonnie") Brotman was born in Brooklyn to Jennie and Abe Brotman, and had an older sister Lilah Brickman, who survives him as does two of her three daughters, Joy and Leslie. He worked in the investment wing of an insurance company for many years. His hobbies included traveling to many foreign countries, and he frequently assisted a friend in her travel business. He also was a volunteer at the Leo Baeck Institute in Manhattan (New York City), where he placed bar codes on many of the documents kept in that organization. Besides his sister and nieces and grand-nephews and grand niece, he was very close to the families of his first cousins Howard Bloomfield and Florence Bloomfield Morse, as well as their spouses, Jean Bloomfield and Dr. Jerry Morse, and their children, Lee and Jeffrey Bloomfield, and Dr. Richard Morse, Stephen Morse, and Robert Morse. Greatly beloved by all, he is sorely missed.
