Sacred to the memory of Barbara his wife who survived her beloved husband ten years and died March the 26th 1826 having nearly completed her 80th year. In thankful reliance on the merits of Jesus Christ her Lord, she departed this life through Him, of eternal salvation. It was the constant and earnest prayer of this most affectionate wife and mother that all her children (six sons and four daughters) might, together with their parents, partake in heaven of the joy of their Redeemer's presence. She was the eldest daughter of Sir Henry Gough Bar't of Edgnaston in this county and sister to the first Lord Calthorpe. The organ in this church and the communion plate were given by her.
