Elias Sorenson, age 77 years, former president of the Farmers State Bank of Larsen, died Thursday evening at his home in Larsen. Death came as the result of cerebral apoplexy. Mr. Sorenson was born April 29, 1861, in the town of Greenville where he was a farmer for many years.
Following his retirement about 25 years ago, he helped organize, in 1914, the Farmer's State Bank of Larsen, and was a director, vice president and president successively. He held the latter post for 13 years until his resignation in January, 1937. He was a lifetime member of the United Lutheran Church at Winchester.
Survivors are one daughter, Mrs. Paul Moeser, Larsen, and one grandson, Lyle Moeser, also of Larsen.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 o'clock Sunday afternoon at the home in Larsen, and at 2:00 o'clock at the United Lutheran Church, Winchester. Burial will be in the Winchester cemetery.
