aged about 55, died suddenly early Sunday morning of apoplexy at his home near Smithsburg.
Mr. Smith, a farmer had been on good health, but was taken ill about 11 o'clock Saturday night. He lost consciousness and died between two and four o'clock yesterday morning.
Surviving are his wife Mrs. Clara Smith, two daughters, Mrs. Luther Warner and Miss Vada Smith, at home, and two sons, Lester and Alton, at home; six brothers, William of Cavetown, and Aretus, of St. Louis, Mo.; one sister Mrs. Prudence Ridenhour, of Hagerstown.
Funeral services at the Reformed Church at Wolfsville Tuesday at 10 a. m.
