DEATH CALLS TO REST AGED PIONEER WOMAN

Mrs. Bridget Wolfling, the last member of a family prominent for years in this county, died at the home on Holden street, Monday morning, at the age of 91 years.. The deceased was this widow of the late John Wolfling, an extensive land holder and stock-raiser in this county and who conducted a butcher shop in this city for many years. After the death of her husband, the business interests were looked after and enhanced by her son M.J. Wolfling, until his death a decade ago. Previous to the son's demise, a daughter succumbed, and the mother was thus bereft of every member of her immediate family, though she was tenderly cared for in her declining days bu more distant relatives. Mrs. Wolfling was a native of Ireland and she had been a resident of Sonora for nearly sixty years. She was a good woman, lived a Christian life and died happy in a faith that enabled her to withstand the shock and sorrow occasioned by the death of all those who were nearest and dearest to her. The funeral was conducted Wednesday morning from her lade home on Holden street, mass being celebrated by Rev. J. Gilmartin in St. Patrick's church. The interment was in the family plot, which adjoins the Masonic cemetery.
