Sandra S. Cottrell, 76, of Rockford, Illinois, passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 21, 2017. Born September 9, 1940 in Carlinville, Illinois, the daughter of Philip and Eva Marie (Schoenherr) Swenson.
Sandra met and married Leland Cottrell on June 3, 1960. She was a graduate of Rockford East High School in 1958. Sandra was a a wonderful homemaker and mother. She enjoyed doing crafts, traveling and spending time with her family. Sandra volunteered at Christ United Methodist Church in many different ways.
Sandra is survived by: her husband, Leland Cottrell; daughter, Vicki (Alan) Persinger; grandchildren, Daniel and Eric, Sister, Phyllis (Dick) Brynteson; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services on Thursday April 27, 2017 at Christ United Methodist Church in Rockford. Entombment at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Machesney Park, Illinoia.
