Pauline Byrd, age 85, widow of James Lee Byrd, passed away on July 16, 2012. She was born on May 11, 1927, in Winchester, Kentucky. She was a faithful and supportive member of Shiloh Baptist Church.
She is survived by: a son, Gregory L. Byrd, and daughter-in-law, Penelope J. Byrd, of Phoenix, Arizona; two grandchildren, Ariana Byrd and Gabrielle Byrd, who were the light of her life; a brother, William McButts, Jr.; an uncle, John T. (Julie) Strode; and many other loving family members. She was preceded in death by: her mother, Lillian Chenault; her father, William McButts; and a sister, Bessie McCall.
Graveside funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 25, at Evergreen Memory Gardens, 5364 Lexington Road, Lexington, Kentucky. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Smith and Smith Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations, in Pauline's name, may be made to Cardinal Hill Hospital, 2050 Versailles Road, Lexington, Kentucky 40504.
