"This stone is erected by JOHN HANNAY in Bonston in memory of his son ROBERT d. May 1812 aged 8y Also of his daughter MARG't d. Apr. 1818 aged 18y Here also is interred the remains of the above JOHN HANNAY d. 23 Sep. 1827 aged 70y His son JOHN d. 20 Apr. 1838 aged 43y Also his daughter-in-law MARY THOM wife of his son JOHN d. 17 Jan. 1877 aged 78y"
