Services for June Thennes, 77, Dallas, will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at First Assembly of God Church in Dodge City. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery in Dodge City.
Mrs. Thennes died Saturday, Oct. 29, 2005, at Baylor Medical Center in Dallas.
She was born June 4, 1928, in English, Ind., the daughter of Orley and Oma Roll Sarles. She moved from Wichita to Dodge City in 1958. She lived in Northfield, Minn., for two years before moving to Dallas, where she lived for the past few months.
Mrs. Thennes was a homemaker and worked as a cook at the Good Samaritan Center, Boy's Ranch and Dodge City public school.
She was a member of First Assembly of God Church.
She married David K. Thennes on July 25, 1952, in Udall. He died Nov. 11, 1999.
Survivors include two sons, David Thennes, Barnsdall, Okla., and Daniel Thennes, Cary, N.C.; three daughters, Patricia Peterson, Northfield, Minn., Susan Thennes, Dallas, and Toni Brou, Lawrence; two brothers, Dallas Sarles, Greenwood, Ind., and Sam Sarles, Indiana; a sister, Eschol Levell, Jeffersonville, Ind.; and six grandchildren.
