Muazzam Jah, Walashan Sahebzada Nawab Mir Sir Shuja’at ‘Ali Khan Siddiqi Bayaffendi Bahadur was the son of the last Nizam of Hyderabad, Osman Ali Khan, Asaf Jah VII and his first wife Dulhan Pasha Begum.
He was born on December 21, 1907 in Eden Garden, Hyderabad, India.
On December 20, 1931 he married Princess Niloufer at her maternal uncle's Hilafat Palace in Nice, France.
In 1948, 17 years after his marriage to Niloufer he took a second wife, Razia Begum, daughter of local aristocracy in Hyderabad. The second marriage was quickly blessed with children and three daughters were born within four years. Eventually, in 1952, after 21 years of marriage, Moazzam Jah and Niloufer were divorced.
On September 15, 1987 at age of 79 Moazzam Jah died at Fern Villa, Red Hills, Hyderabad.
