Florence Russell Bramon, 86, died Jan. 8, 2007, at her home. Born March 27, 1920, in Nansemond County, she was the daughter of the late Paul and Mae Rountree Russell. Mrs. Bramon was a member of Church of God on Kilby Avenue. Survivors include her husband, Jay Colver Bramon; daughter, Barbara Ricks of Suffolk; grandson and wife, Jason and Amber Ricks of Suffolk; great-grandsons, Jonathan Ricks and Brennan Ricks; sister, Nettie Sue Russell Lassiter of Suffolk; and brothers, Willie Lee Russell of Franklin and Jack Russell of North Carolina. A funeral will be conducted Thursday at 2 p.m. at the R.W. Baker & Co. Funeral Home & Crematory by the Rev. James R. Hughes with burial in Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends in the funeral home today from 7 to 8:30 p.m.
