DEATHS
Melville J. Rader passed away early Friday morning at his home in the LaSalle district at the age of 63 years. Mr. Rader had operate a machine shop and garage in Malta and Kevin, Montana, from 1910 until moving to the Flathead four years ago. Surviving him are his wife, Leona B., one daughter, Mrs. Leonard Hunt of LaSalle, and two sons, Leo C. Rader of Tuscon, Ariz., and W. L. Rader of Polson. Funeral services have been set for Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Waggener & Campbell chapel with the Rev. R. F. Vick of the Epworth Methodist church officiating. Interment will follow in the Conrad Memorial cemetery.

FUNERALS

Funeral services for Melville Josephus Rader were held Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Waggener & Campbell chapel with Rev. R. F. Vick of the Epworth Methodist church officiating. Two beautiful selections were sung during the service by Soloist John Bushnell with Mrs. J. M. Carlson accompanying at the organ. Long-time friends of the Rader family who served as casket bearers were Ed Kaeding, Robert H. Bibb, Vernon Stiles, J. H. Agen, E. N. Dipple and O. H. Badger. Interment was made in the Conrad Memorial cemetery.

OBITUARY
Melville Josephus Rader was born at Council Grove, Kansas on September 19, 1884, to Mr. and Mrs. John Rader. He grew to manhood in that community, living on the parental farm until his marriage to Leona B. Barnett on December 14, 1904. Soon after their marriage the young couple moved to Enid, Oklahoma.
In 1910 they moved to Malta, Montana and lived on a homestead two miles from town. In addition to his farming operations, Mr. Rader operated a blacksmith shop in Malta and later turned it into a garage and machine shop.
In 1930 they moved to Kevin, Montana where Mr. Rader operated a garage, assisted by his son, Leo. Seeking a more element climate (sic) they moved to the Birch Grove community in the Flathead in 1944 and have since made that their home. Mr. Rader passed away there June 18, 1948 at the age of 63 years. He had been in failing health for the past year.
Surviving him are his wife, Leona B.; two sons, William L. Rader of Polson and Leo C. Rader of Tucson, Ariz.; one daughter, Mrs. Leonard Hunt of the Birch Grove district; two brothers, Isaac A. Rader of Helena and Harry Rader of Kansas and two sisters, Mrs. Minnie McClintock and Mrs. Sadie Campbell, both of Council Grove, Kansas.
