Death of Edward Gress
On Monday morning at the Retreat Hospital occurred the death of Edward Gress, who had been an inmate of that institution since 1901. Deceased was 45 years of age and was born at Wilkes-Barre. Early Monday afternoon his remains were brought to the home of his sister, Mrs. Nora Stark, at Dewey Park, from where the funeral will take place this afternoon at 1 o'clock. Rev. Clark Callender of the Methodist Episcopal Church will officiate and interment will be in Hanover Green Cemetery. The survivors are four sisters, Mrs. Charles Ace of Meshoppen, Mrs. George Obitz of Buttonwood, Mrs. Nora Stark and Mrs. Albert Balliett and one brother, William Gress, of this place.
