Mrs. Maxine May Slama, 47, died at her home at 212 Sixth Ave. W., early Wednesday morning.
Mrs. Slama was born Nov. 11, 1921, at Montrose, Colo., a daughter of Louis and Goldie Liff. As a child, she moved to the Montana-Idaho line where she attended elementary school. She graduated from high school at Troy in 1939. She then attended business college in San Francisco, Calif., graduating from there in 1941. She remained in San Francisco until 1951 when she moved to Kalispell where she has resided since that time. After moving to Kalispell she was employed as a bookkeeper for the Richards and Gay Accounting and also for the Mountain Meat Co. She was a member of the St. Matthew's Catholic Church.
Aug. 13, 1954, she was married to Clarence Slama at Spokane and is now survived by him at the family home.
She is also survived by one son, Daniel Eugene at home, one daughter, Mrs. Ivone A. Hilby of Spokane, and her mother, Mrs. Goldie Wall of Kalispell.
Rosary for Mrs. Slama will be recited in the Johnson Chapel at 7:30 this evening. Requiem high mass will be celebrated in St. Matthew's Catholic Church at 10 a.m. Friday with the Rev. Maurice Medina as celebrant. Interment will be in the Conrad Memorial Cemetery.
