Reuben Powell, 91, of Marietta passed away Tuesday, September 27, 2016. Funeral services will be Saturday, October 1, 2016 at 11am in the chapel of Marietta Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Kennesaw Memorial Park.
Mr. Powell has been member of Shady Grove Baptist Church for 69 years and was employed with Lockheed for over 37 years before his retirement. He was a member of Meyerhardt Masonic Lodge #314 of Kennesaw where he received his 50 year award. He was also a 32nd degree Scottish Rite Mason, Valley of Atlanta and was a member of Chapter 414 Order of the Eastern Star.
Mr. Powell was preceded in death by his first wife Martha Clackum Powell.
Survivors include his wife Alene Powell; son, Eddie Powell (Jean) of Marietta; daughter, Reba Lester (Willie) of Marietta; grandchildren, Jason Powell and Trevor Lester; great grandchildren, Graceyn Powell, Josey Powell and Paisley Lester; step daughters, Lynne Gilbert (Danny) and Jan Pasley both from Adairsville; step son, Darrell Pasley (Darlene) of Rocky Face, GA; 5 step grandchildren and 7 step great grandchildren.
