SHARON, May 15.-Funeral services for Mrs. Clyde Cooksey, 27, resident of Newton county, were held from the residence, with Rev. Clyde Bufkin and Rev. Fred Saterfield officiating. Following services In the Sharon Primitive Baptist church, burial was made In the church cemetery.
Mrs. Cooksey was well known and held in high esteem by her many friends in this section. She was a member of the Hazel Baptist church.
Surviving besides her husband are two sons. Samuel and Billy: three daughters, Dorothy, Doris and Louvenia, all of Lake; her mother and father, Mr. and Mrs. W. F. Gibbs, Ovett; six sisters, Mrs. Lillie Weaver, Lake; Mrs. Minnie Ola Harris, Ovett; Mrs. Kitty Spikes. Jackson, Mrs. Lucy Stanley, Forest; Mrs. Lorene Farris, Ovett; Miss Mary Lane Gibbs, Hattiesburg; three brothers, Frank and John Gibbs, of California; and Jesse Gibbs of Lake.
Active pall bearers were R. H. Morgan, M. H. Weaver, Sam Emmons, Vardaman Moreland, Manuel Robinson and R. T. Vance.
