Dorothy H. Powell, 80, of Camden, OH, went to be with her Lord on Wednesday morning September 21, 2016. Born February 26, 1936 in Lanier Township, Preble County, OH, she was the youngest child and only daughter of the late Kelley B. & Norma G. (Mills) Howard. She retired after 22 years from Sterns Technical Textile Company of Preble County and was a faithful member of the First Southern Baptist Church in Camden. Dorothy was known for her love of cooking, and always with her familiar apron. Her pies were legendary, and she gave 10+ years each to cooking at Camden Elementary School and Camp Cartwright. She was often seen at her children's and grandchildren's activities, and had an enjoyment of photography.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her 4 brothers Arthur, Kenneth, Homer and Paul Howard.

Survived by devoted husband William G. Powell, Sr., whom she married April 20, 1956; sons William G. Powell, Jr. & wife Susan of West Manchester, OH and Duane A. Powell & wife Alicia of New Paris, OH; grandchildren Cory B. Powell & wife Sarah, Cheri Osborne & husband Brandon, Christopher A. Powell, and Rachal Rogers & husband Kenny; great grandchildren John Bryce Osborne, Paisley Osborne, Adalee Rogers, Carter Rogers, Ryan Black and Grace Black.

Friends may call on the family from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM Tuesday, September 27, 2016 at the First Southern Baptist Church – 35 N. Liberty St. – Camden. The funeral service will begin at 1:00 PM at the Church with Pastor Greg Jackson presiding, and conclude after processing to Fairmount Cemetery in Camden.
