13 Jul 1881, Newcastle Union Advocate:

We deeply sympathize with our young friend, S. DesBRISAY of Armstrongs Brook who has been deprived of his loving wife, after less than a year of married life; the young mother leaving a little daughter of 4 or 5 days old. The remains were interred Friday last in the Presbyterian burial ground at New Mills. The services at the house and grave were conducted by Rev. Thos. R. Nicholson.
