78, of Naples, Fla., formerly of Evansville, Ind., passed away Monday, August 1, 2016, at St. Mary's Medical Center in Evansville. He was born January 19, 1938, in Velpen, Ind., to the late Henry Ermert and June (Lichlyter) Ermert.
He graduated from Central High School in 1956, and attended the University of Evansville. Ron was a U.S. Army National Guard veteran. He was active in his church in Naples, Fla.
Ron is survived by his mother, June Bailey, of Naples, Fla.; daughter, Amy Phipps (Michael); granddaughter, Amber Shoulders; aunt, Ardella Jones; and former wife, Judy Gabe, all of Evansville, Ind.; sister, Shirley Ingersoll, of Naples, Fla.; and several nieces and nephews.
There will be no services at the funeral home. Private burial will be held at New Albany National Cemetery in New Albany, Ind.
