Michael McManus, a former resident of this city, who made his home with his son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. John W. Conner, at 1102 Pullman Place until about 5 years ago when he entered the National Soldiers' Home of Johnson City, Tenn., died at that place on Wednesday and the funeral will take place this afternoon with interment in Riverview Cemetery. The other children surviving are Mark McManus, former clerk of the City Council, now at Smyrna; James McManus, of this city and John McManus of Lowell, Mass. The deceased was a veteran of the Civil War and had recently reached the age of 70 years.
